Production Process
Crafted with dedication, Liber & Co.’s Marion Blackberry Syrup is made with berries from the Willamette Valley.
With its highly fertile alluvial soil, the Willamette Valley was dubbed the “promised land of flowing milk and honey” in the 19th century.
Alongside the more than 500 wineries dotting the region, many family farms are busy growing some of the best blackberries in the world — Marionberries.
The marionberry was first grown in 1956 as a cross between the Chehalem Blackberry and Olallieberry.
The marionberry is so popular today that most of the fresh berries don’t make it out of the state of Oregon and are consumed en masse by local Oregonians.
