On the nose, very clean at first pass, then opening up to light pikake, white cotton candy and Meyer Lemon pith with a hint of fresh Kalamansi.
On the palate: The cloying on the glass translates nicely to an upfront cotton candy and very smooth rich, yet dry, raw sugar finish with hints of marzipan and a dash of dried candied ginger.

Production Notes
To produce Kōloa Rum, it starts with pristine rainwater from Mount Waiʻaleʻale and the nearby mountain peaks and rainforests that filtered through volcanic strata into vast underground aquifers. They use only pure “tall cane” sugarcane, locally sourced coffee, chocolate and ingredients to develop authentic flavors of the spirits they produce.
Kōloa Rums are distilled in single batches using a vintage (circa 1947) 1,210-gallon copper-pot still, with a copper column and condenser. During the second distillation, the distillate is collected in three sections – heads, heart, and tails. Kōloa Rums use only the heart of the batch.
