The jury’s choice from the 2023 NY RumFest is now available for pre-order. This edition is the first RumLab festival cask selection and the first Holmes Cay – RumLab collaboration from an award-winning mystery distillery in Lluidas Vale, Jamaica.
This molasses, 100% pot still rum was selected at the 2023 New York Rum Festival where workshop attendees cast the winning votes for this rum to become a 2024 Holmes Cay single barrel rum selection.
Tasting Notes
Sweet tropical fruit, spice and vanilla notes throughout nose and palate, with an elegant toffee and leather finish

Distillation and aging alone create this single cask selection’s complex flavors. No sugar, no color and no other flavors were added in the making of this rum.

The Jamaica WPL 2012 edition was bottled at “Navy” strength, or 57.14% alcohol by volume.

Best enjoyed neat with a splash of water. If you’re feeling luxurious, any recipe calling for Jamaican rum will be elevated by using the WPL 2012.
Production Notes
This molasses, pot still expression was aged in ex-bourbon casks in the tropics for 8 years with a further 3 years maturation in Europe, all in ex-bourbon casks. Distillation and aging alone create the Jamaica WPL 2012 edition’s complex flavors. No sugar, no color and no other flavors were added in the making of this rum.
